Struggling to get back into the swing of things - time to call in a litlle help.

Every since my technical difficulties I've struggled to get back into the swing of things, so it's time to call in a little help....watch this space.

How recurring income can generate money even when you don't do anything.

As mentioned in this post my money making activities had to come to a stand still when my laptop broke down. Did this mean that my income came to a stop....well not quite.

On Web-Dosh I show ads from TheAdNetwork and each month they pay me £5.
I know that this may not sound like much but when you consider that between October and January I couldn't do any work on this blog and I still received 4 payments from them in that time. Thats valuable money in when I couldn't do anything else.

Finally back up and running

I'm finally back up and running with a new laptop, so hopefully I can get WebDosh back up and running again, although please bare with me for a while.

After such a long lay off I'm really starting from scratch again but here are the system's I'm currently planning to make money:

Adsense, Kontera, Surveys (Ciao & YouGov), dNerro.

We shall see how these go for now.

I'm currently running 3 blogs, and will look to impliment Adsense & Kontera on them as well.

Dear all.

Well I'm still sorting out a new laptop, which is why updates are so slow on here.

But I've just jumped on a friends PC to say Happy christmas to you all.

I hope that our money making will improve in the new year.

The automated blogging is officially over now, and i'm going to to focus on quality over quantity from now on.

Frustrating time

Hi all.

Just a quick update on my nothings happend here recently.

Unfortunatly my laptop went bang - with smoke and everything ;-)

So doing anykind of blogging work has been a nightmare recently, and will be until I get a new laptop

Also with Google apparently not sneding traffic to the majority of my blogging estate, it's really hard to get motivated. :-(

I've decided to pretty much leave the automatic blogging to look after it's self for a while, and I'll check it every so often to see how it's going on.

Currently my blogging estate consists of 24 blogs with my Auto blogging software.

Since 01/08/09 to 19/10/09:

Adsense had Approx 13.7K impressions, approx 89 clicks and earned around $16

Kontera had Approx 7.1K impressions, approx 160 clicks and earned $7

The news room currently has $28.13 in the account for me, an increase of just over $1 in about 2 weeks.

So I've decided to just let it carry on by it's self for now and perhaps re-visit it in a few months to see how it's getting on.

In the mean time its back to basics for Webdosh

Latest Comparisons of Adsense Vs Kontera

Hi again - here's the latest update from the automated blogging investigation.

Currently my blogging estate consists of 24 blogs - I deleted some which were causing issues with my Auto blogging software.

Since 01/08/09 to 05/10/09

Adsense had 10.2K impressions, approx 70 clicks and around $11
Kontera had 4.5K impressions, approx 110 clicks and earnt $4.50

The news room currently has $26.81 in the acciunt for me, an increase of just under $2 in just over a month.

So I'm not rich yet BUT dont forget this is all Passive income. It self generates with very little effort

Since 01/08/09 to 21/09/09

Adsense had 6109 impressions, 41 clicks and earnt $5.17
Kontera had 2887 impressions, 76 clicks and earnt $3.12

Here's some more stats on how the earning's going to provide a better comparison of the various money making methods

Currently my automated blogging estate consists of 26 sites
Since 01/08/09 to 12/09/09

Adsense had 4443 impressions, 33 clicks and earnt $4.25
Kontera had 2017 impressions, 56 clicks and earnt $2.40

Won't make me rich (yet) but it's interesting to compare how both systems work.

Ok - Now I'm a little stressed!!!!

Pay per post has recently removed a lot of their blogs from their database....including mine, without any reason really being given

I lost PR because if them!!!
So I'm going to remove all trace of them from my blog.

I sense a new beginning coming soon.

Perhaps it's time to start from scratch again!!!!

Sometimes we all get a little carried away

In my keenness to test automated blogging, I completly forgot to check the Adsense T&C's.

I managed to cath 2 mistakes, one of the Rss feeds I have been using had Adsense adverts inserted into the posts, so my Blog now had 2 Adsense account codes, which is against T&C's

and I had put adsense on a gambling site, which is also against the T&C's.

Both are now corrected and I hope I've sorted it before Google picked up on it and ban me.

Fingers crossed.

Since 01/08/09 to 04/09/09

Adsense had 3200 impressions, 25 clicks and earnt $3,13
Kontera had 1465 impressions, 43 clicks and earnt $1.93

The news room has very limited reporting but there is currently $24.97 in my acount with them. (most of this is pre-August) but the next time I report I should have a better understanding of how much this is earning.

In the same time Homepage friends made £7.30, and dNerro has made $0.82

I wonder if Passive income will ever beat the non-passive income

Quick comparison of Kontera VS Adsense

I've been looking at how Kontera compairs to Adsense.

Dates: 26/08/08 to 02/09/08

Adsense:
Impressions: 1084
clicks: 0 (bad week)
Earnings: $0.01

Kontera:
Impressions: 446
Clicks: 11
Earnings: $0.62

Adsense is normally better then that but it shows how much more powerful Kontera can be.

Things would be easier if....

Making money would be much easier if I didn't have a page rank of 0.

Why is page rank important?
Well for me it directly links to the amount of sponsored posts that are available to me and the amount that they pay...the higher your page rank the more attractive your blog is to advertisers.
At the moment I'm struggling to get any sponsored posts.

I haven't always had a page rank of 0 but at one stage Google decided that blogs that took sponsored postings would be busted down, although they have since changed their mind a little.

I also made the decision to re-launch Web Dosh and made the mistake of deleting the blog and recreating it, so in the eyes of Google my page was new and not a year old.... I now regret this decision.

Hopefully during the next google update I'll get a rank back and making the $100 will be easier.

The $100 challenge

To try and set myself a target, I'm going to set myself a challenge around $100.

Since spring I've lost my way with the money making so I'm in affect starting from scratch again, so to try and kick start this site I'm going to set myself realistic goals.

The first will be to make $100 a month, when I achieve this consistently then I'll re-set the challenge to $100 a week.

Automated Blogging update

Just a quick update on the Automated Blogging experiment.

Currently my automated blogging estate consists of 11 sites which are automaticially updated using a RSS feed to posting tool and I'm increasing the number of sites each day.

Google is picking up the sites and sending traffic, all the sites have the following money making schemes setup up on them:

Google Adsense
Kontera
The news room

I've kept tracking simple so reporting will be basic but it should be enough to track how well the system is working.

My first automated site went live at the end of July, during the time until today:

Adsense had 1,941 impressions, 23 clicks and earnt $2.90
Kontera had 886 impressions, 30 clicks and earnt $1.28
The news room has very limited reporting but there is currently $24.77 in my acount with them. (most of this is pre-August) but the next time I report I should have a better understanding of how much this is earning.

I'm also posting a summary of links on each site to hopefully increase page rank.

The earnings may not be spectacular and some sites are more popular then others but I've been away for the last 3 weeks, after the sites have been set up you don't ever need to re-visit them - this is truly passive income.

Even if I only set up 1 site aday earnings should increase quite quickly.

So Whats happening to WebDosh??

So it's been a bit slow on this site recently - for which I apologise, I'm about to get married and the organisation of the wedding has taken over my life - leaving very little time for blogging.

Things will be back to normal in September, where I'll be having a big push to get things back on track.

In the mean time have a great summer.

level 3 - automated blogging update

I've been investigating automated blogging for just over a week now, and I've found it quite interesting.

My invetsigation is still in it's infancy but the few sites I've set up are attracting some traffic from google and even earing a few cents a day - the only work involved is setting up the blog and feed software.

I'm still not sure if it's the right way to go but it's certainly proving interesting

Level 3 - Automated Blogging - an Investigation

Automated blogging is a controversial topic for some, but it can lead to a impressive income for others.

The Theory is that you use a tool which automatically takes RSS feeds and posts them as entries on a blog, why would anyone do this? - - simple - easy content and traffic.

Automated blogging is a very easy way to quickly build up a constantly updated blog, this will bring traffic. Perhaps not a lot of traffic but because you don't need to re-visit the blog after it's creation you can then move onto the next, building a large network of blogs quickly.

I'm not convinced that automated blogging is a good idea but I'm investigating it to see if it has any potential.
